Up Sainte Anne

In 1972, I visited Old Quebec City with my parents. In July 2004, I returned in part to remember. The period buildings are still there but there are fewer bakeries and more touristy "this and that" shops. The crepes are awesome and so is the Chateau Frontenac with it's green copper roof.

Sainte Anne du Beaupre is a short drive from Old Quebec and worth the trip. It's known worldwide for healing. Many tourists take pictures of the collection of crutches and canes extending upward about 20 feet on two entry columns. My collection emphasizes the architecture and especially the statue of Sainte Anne. If you cannot travel to this place in person, do so virtually.
